Also yesterday, I made Maple Vanilla Applesauce to use up some old apples. I forgot to photograph it before the kids got to is. By the time I remembered, this is all that was left. I always think it’s silly to go to the trouble of squeezing a lemon and floating pieces of peel in there, etc, when I could just cook the apples plain. Then I smell this cooking and I remember why it’s so good.
Oh, we had some old oranges in the fridge, too. Voila, orange juice.
